    Ekkay has been able to provide the banking client with a solution "Courbar" which has been created considering that despite the loss caused by data compromise, the transaction is protected. This creates an edge over the other solutions available.

    Courbar is equipped to offer its unique Out Of Band Authentication security through two additional mediums making it an overall composite offering having an array of features in its functioning."Courbar "- is capable of securitizing transactions by offering both static and dynamic PIN's through a real time call and an SMS based OTP, enabling the client to control various transactions through his/her mobile phone with an option of Static/Dynamic PIN's through Calls as well as SMS thereby making it more secured.

    Courbar provides 3 different options in its functioning with an array of special offerings under each of them as below:

    1. Real-time call to the client followed by a confirmatory SMS - Call with Static
         Pin


    • Validation through a real time call to the client asking him/her to punch in the static PIN
       followed by a confirmatory SMS to intimate the client.
    • PIN is self generated by the client to be used by him/her to validate his/her transaction.
    • Multiple transactions and operations but validation through single Static PIN.

    2. Real-time Call to confirm the Dynamic PIN (OTP) to with the OTP visible on
         the screen.


    • Dynamic PIN generated for each transactions.
    • Cross validation by punching in the same PIN as visible on the screen.
    • Authorization through same OTP by validation on different environments

    3.Send out OTP through SMS to match with the onscreen OTP.

    • Dynamic PIN generated for each transaction.
    • Cross validation by punching in the same PIN as visible on the screen.
    • Authorization through OTP delivered on the mobile phone as an SMS.

    A FLEXIBLE FOUNDATION FOR RISK CONTAINMENT

    Courbar's strong out-of-band authentication offers a robust, scalable platform for enterprises and consumers. With Courbar, users can choose the authentication method they prefer a Static PIN for verification delivered through a phone call followed by the confirmatory SMS notifying the action performed; a Dynamic PIN (OTP) through a phone call also for verification to be matched with the PIN appearing on the computer screen and an SMS based OTP to be put on the screen for verification; thus in all mediums validation is taken on a device used and owned by clients themselves. In all cases transaction verified can be mapped to particular users and/or levels of risk.

    SMS IPO:

    SMS IPO allows the average investor to leverage the anytime-anywhere mobility of the mobile phone and the simplicity and ease of the sms to apply for an Initial Public Offering by a company on the stock market. More importantly, it adds value for many investors who lack the time and the patience to go through the grind of lengthy paper work currently associated with applying for an IPO.

    Registered investors are informed of the Initial Public Offer via an SMS alert to their cell phone. Investors interested in the IPO then respond to the SMS in an already predefined format. The investment details received from the investors via SMS and the corresponding customer information identified through their cell phone number is captured and recorded at the Broker end.

    In compliance with the instructions received in the SMS, the broker then processes the investor request for buying the IPO's. After completion of payment transaction, the investor is acknowledged via an SMS receipt informing him of the acceptance of his application for the IPO. Transaction ID's that can later be used for submission of rebids are included in the SMS receipt. Future bids from the investor are accepted successfully by the servers up to final day of the IPO closing.

    SMS Mutual Fund (MF):

    Online Banking and identity management:

    Saraswat bank is one of the oldest and biggest co-operative banks in India. The bank is on the verge of expanding its business organically and inorganically and one of the biggest challenges faced by them was low usage of online banking facility available to its client. This situation was due to lack of robust system to ensure the identity management in real time. Given the threat posed by sophisticated electronic attacks, the bank's IT organization was determined to minimize the risk of fraud and the potential for exposure of confidential information. Courbar is the only solution available in the market which enables a bank to manage the identity of online user in real time. And this solution is capable of handling all channels available to customers. The bank's IT group chose the Ekkay solution because it combined strong authentication, risk management, with ease of use and scalability, thus addressing all of their requirements. The Bank is looking at partnering with Ekkay to extend this solution from online transaction to ATM users and going forward to POS location also.
